Hello from Darcy

Hi, my name is Darcy. I am a male Keeshond and I was born on October 8th 2010 in Ohio but now call Maryland home. I have a new mom and dad and 2 sisters in college. I have to share my new home with 2 cats, Albert and Molly. We are still learning to adjust to each other. That can be frustrating as I don't speak "cat". Check back when you can to see what I have been up to.

17 weeks old!

Hey, look at the picture of me in the snow from a week ago.  I love running and digging and chewing in the snow.  I think it is one of my favorite things.  Maybe ties with chasing the cats!  Let's see, this past Monday I had my third set of shots.  Ouch.  On Wednesday night I attended my first puppy obedience class.  I was the vocal one.  I even got the instructor saying "speak" and giving me a treat if I barked.  What a smart boy I am.  I am working on "sit" (and the release command "ok"), "watch me" and "speak".  There are 4 others in my class;  a 12 wk old black lab/boxer mix, 4 month old pug, a 5 month old yorkie and a 5 month old pit bull.  I am the fluffiest one though!  Can't wait to go again this week.

Today I suffered through another bath.  Then I was put into my crate in the sun to "air dry".  I don't see the cats getting bathed.  Life just isn't fair.

16 weeks old

My days are a routine now.  I get up between 6-6:30 a.m. and go potty.  Then I sit on the sofa chewing my bone while watching the news with mom and dad.  I eat around 7:00 and go for a walk shortly before mom has to leave for work.  Sleep.  Lunch around 11:30.  Walk.  Mom comes home and I get another walk before it gets dark.  Then dinner and lots of play time (with some training thrown in).  Quiet time chewing my bully stick and bed around 10:30-11:00 p.m.  Of course my "sisters" play with me during the day when they are not at work or college.  And I get to occasionally chase the cats.  Life is good.
